Acute Med/Surg- RN Manager

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager administers, directs and coordinates activities of patient care administration within the departments. S/he is responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery and maintains interdepartmental quality controls and provides for departmental participation in performance improvement within the department and hospital wide. S/he ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. S/he demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Schedule- Full time


Required Skills:

1. Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.

2. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP).

3. Current Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

4. Current Pediatric Acute Life Support (PALS)

5. Knowledgeable in medical terminology.

6. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic Windows based programs.

Minimum Work Experience:

1. Two to five years of clinical experience in area of expertise.

Minimum Education:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;

2. Current RN license valid within the state of Idaho.

3. BSN preferred.
